December, 2014 – WMACC members and guests enjoyed a lovely evening at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown for its annual Winter General Meeting. WMACC President Jessica Monville presented a check for $90,000 to MACC Fund Executive Director John Cary. Cary thanked Women for MACC for their continued support and contributions, noting that “your support brings hope to families.” The donation brings Women for MACC’s lifetime contribution to the MACC Fund to more than $4.4 million since its inception in 1982.
Monville also recognized and thanked several businesses and individuals for their contributions to WMACC efforts, including Julie Feldman of Feldman Media and Tri-Marq Communications for their production of the moving video shared at this year’s Couture for a Cure, as well as Boston Store and the Hyatt for their continued partnership and support of Couture. The Hartford Gun and Conservation Club was once again thanked for their continued support of Shoot for a Cure, which raised more than $51,000 earlier this year. Mary Patek-Cheney was recognized for her many years of service to WMACC, having led the Memorial Donations program. Finally, Mortensen Photography was acknowledged for its ongoing support of WMACC and its creativity and leadership in producing the Cute Kids Calendar. To purchase a 2015 calendar, click here.
