Calling all golfers, wine drinkers and food lovers!!!
Last year, many of you graciously gave of your time, your support and your golfing talents at our inaugural Nine, Wine & Dine to support Women for MACC. Together we raised more than $8,000 to support pediatric cancer research.
We are excited to announce our 2nd annual Nine, Wine & Dine is scheduled for Mon., Sept. 12 at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex. This exclusive women-only golf experience will offer you an opportunity to enjoy nine (9) holes of golf with your favorite ladies, while sipping and sampling wine throughout the day.
Schedule of activities:
12 p.m. – Registration and Boxed Lunch
1 p.m. – Shotgun start
4 p.m. – Post golf reception, wine tastings, wine pull, program, raffles and more!
Cost to golf is $100/per person, and includes 9 holes of golf, cart, lunch and reception.
Sponsorship packages available and raffle donations are greatly appreciated.
To find more details about the event, golfer and reception registration and sponsorship information please visit: http://womenformacc.org/nine-wine-and-dine/.
We look forward to seeing you and your friends and family in September!!!
Do you own a business? Perhaps you sell Thirty-One Gifts, LuLa Roe clothing, Wildtree products, Usborne books or another great item that our Nine, Wine and Dine attendees would love to win. We hope you will consider donating an item or two for our raffle. We’re looking for packages that appeal to women, but also men and children, as we know the ladies in attendance love to shop for those special people in their lives.
We’re also looking for donations of wine, both red and white, for the wine pull and tastings that will occur that evening. To donate a raffle item or wine, please contact Michelle Pape at 414-708-8082 or email@example.com.
Cheers to all of our generous donors who help make our events spectacular!

Finding a Cure isn’t just a Fad…it’s an investment with the 34th Annual Couture for a Cure
Planning for the 34th Annual Couture for a Cure is underway and the committee has been hard at work to help make this year’s event one of the best ever!
We can’t do it without you, though! Our call for donations to the silent auction, raffle and wine pull is officially open and we hope you’ll help us find unique, exciting offerings for this year’s fundraiser. We’re looking for items such as restaurant gift certificates (any denomination over $10), handcrafted art- and sculpture-type items, custom “experiences” (think instructed painting classes, cooking with a chef, behind the scenes opportunities, etc.), women’s high-end personal care products, handbags, jewelry, unique/autographed sports memorabilia, etc. (and wine, of course!)
So, if you or someone you know owns a phenomenal restaurant, art studio, fashion boutique, is related to Clay Matthews or is just feeling generous towards the cause, please contribute an item to this year’s Couture for a Cure silent auction/raffle! Remember that a donation of any size makes a big impact on our fight to end pediatric cancer and blood disorders.
It’s so easy to make your contribution – simply complete our simple Online Donation Form to confirm and tell us more about your donation. A member of our committee will get in touch with you to work out the logistics. Thank you for your consideration!
Be sure to check out the July newsletter, where we’ll reveal this year’s theme and other great ways you can get involved in the 34th Annual Couture for a Cure event!
Women for MACC continues to look for innovative ways to build our brand in the community while focusing on our mission to raise funds in the fight against pediatric cancer. It’s through the tenacity, passion and support of our dedicated board members that allow us to help make a difference in pediatric cancer research. The mission of our organization is held with pride by each board member and each has their own personal story as to why they volunteer their valuable time to The Women for MACC.
“I joined WMACC while my son was fighting leukemia. Childhood cancer is a ridiculously underfunded group of diseases and I want to do all I can to bring awareness and increase funding to help ensure that someday no child will have to go through what my son went through. “Dayle Bugalski
“I joined Women for MACC a few years ago after my niece was diagnosed with ALL. After my first Couture for a Cure committee meeting, I felt so “at home” with this group of inspiring, successful and busy women making a difference. When the opportunity came to join the board in a role so aligned with my strengths, I couldn’t pass it up! With the partnerships throughout Women for MACC, I hope to drive awareness for childhood cancer research, the MACC fund and Women for MACC (Awareness = Funding = Research = Cure).” Lauren Becker
“I work at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and was introduced to WMACC when I worked in the cancer and blood disorders programs. I have been on the Board since 2008, currently a voting past president. I continue to be inspired by this amazing group of women and look forward to supporting our events throughout the year.” Deb Weiner
“It is a privilege to serve because MACC Fund and WMACC support enables researchers/clinicians to forge better childhood cancer treatments thanks to our 40-year partnership to find cures.”Jan Lennon
Woman for MACC is always looking for “friends of MACC” to assist in various fundraising activities and/or assist in opportunities that benefit Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
If you, or you know of someone or a group looking to get involved in a great organization as a volunteer, contact us. We always need volunteers at our events, and it’s always good to have extra sets of helping hands.
Become a Member of Women for MACC!
Join us in the fight! Membership is only $35.00 per individual. By becoming a member you’re pledging your support in ending pediatric cancer. You’ll also have opportunities to volunteer, network with others, have fun and know that you’re helping sick kids get one step closer to a cure.
YOUR DOLLARS COUNT! Every dollar works hard to support our mission. Through fundraising events, we are able to donate thousands of dollars each year to support the MACC Fund to one day find a cure.
Moving into my 2nd year term as president of Women for MACC, I am honored to be able to continue leading the board’s efforts to elevate the brand of our organization, events and fundraising while continuing to serve our mission. As I reflect upon our past year, I am proud to have led such a passionate, dedicated and generous Board of Directors that continually strive to achieve our goals – all with so much heart.
The Women for MACC are proud to welcome several new board members this year:
I am confident that our new members will compliment our existing Board of Directors, by contributing fresh ideas, new perspectives and help have a positive impact on our organization.
I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my term as president in 2016-2017 and look forward to a successful year ahead in continuing to raise awareness and funds to support research in the fight against pediatric cancers and blood disorders.
